House S - Pienaarstrand - Mossel Bay

House S exemplifies the pinnacle of our Dream Team’s craftsmanship—a full turnkey project that seamlessly blends elegance with warmth. The owners sought a contemporary dwelling with a unique presence and striking architectural elements. Central to our design was the imperative to incorporate and maximize the limited sea views. We achieved this vision through meticulous planning and attention to detail. The result is a space that feels both stylish and inviting.

By creating computer-generated models of the neighboring houses, we thoughtfully designed the dwelling from the beach inward. This innovative approach yielded unexpectedly stunning vistas, especially from the main living areas, allowing each room to feel both inviting and seamlessly connected to the coastal beauty. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors open up to the ocean, maximizing natural light and views, while strategically placed top-hung ventilation windows on less prominent facades enhance airflow and comfort. This design ensures a harmonious balance between indoor comfort and outdoor splendor.

The lounge and kitchen are designed as a double-volume space, fostering a bright and airy atmosphere that encourages connection and interaction. In contrast, the more intimate spaces are kept to a single story, providing a sense of human scale and tranquility

North-facing clerestory windows ensure optimal sunlight penetrates the living area throughout the day. Ground floor services are tucked away on the north side, to allow for stunning southern ocean views.

The basement garage accommodates five vehicles and features a dedicated man cave where the owner can indulge in his hobbies. Additionally, it includes a lift for easy access, as well as a laundry area and technical storage, providing both convenience and functionality.

The luxurious main en-suite bedroom is situated on the ground floor, offering convenience and ease of living. On the first floor, two additional en-suite bedrooms are complemented by a cozy pajama lounge. Each room features its own balcony, providing stunning views of the ocean.
